Frankenstein Electronics: Preez
Why would one need a product serving both functions of a TV remote and a Tripod? My answer to this question for Unit 3 - Frankenstein electronics was the "Preez". Preez is a tool designed for teachers to record and provide feedback to their students' presentations. The typology of the tripod is represented by the three spreading legs and the 1/4 inch camera mount, allowing teachers to assess presentations with footage evidence - convenient to recall whenever it is necessary. The typology of the remote is represented by the shape and function of the main leg - designed with a flat surface for buttons and curved backside for ergonomics. This addition allows teachers to move through slides back and forth, to provide feedback and highlight elements worth noting. Furthermore, the thin footprint allows teachers to fit assessment documents or laptops alongside the product in a small table used in a classroom setting.
